If you are coming by road: Fontmell Magna village can be reached via the A350 from Shaftesbury or Blandford Forum. Once in the village, go down Mill Street, opposite the Fontmell pub. Although Springhead is located on the right-hand side about 400 metres from the junction; non pedestrian visitors must proceed to the next turning on the right-hand side to follow the lane leading to Springhead’s car park.
Coming by train: The nearest station is Gillingham, on the London Waterloo to Exeter line. A taxi stand can be found just outside Gillingham Station. The journey to Springhead takes approximately 20 minutes.
On arrival
If you have arrived by car then please park in designated visitor parking area and make your way down the track towards the main house and courtyard area. If you have arrived by taxi and are dropped at the pedestrian entrance then please make your way to the courtyard area inside the gates.
A member of our team will be on look out to welcome you from the agreed arrival time. You will be asked to sign in and be given a brief orientation. You will also be offered that all important hot drink to ready you for your day with us.
